Osteopath (Manual Practitioner)
DOMP, BKinH, RMT
Whether it is pain, stress, or injury, my goal is to facilitate healing.
I am passionate about helping people on their health journeys.
I draw on a wide range of techniques, experiences, and educational background to provide my clients with effective, individualized treatments.
On completion of six years of osteopathic training at the esteemed Canadian College of Osteopathy, I received my DOMP and DScO. I was also honored to receive the Andrew Taylor Still, D.O. Thesis Award for my thesis; Exploring osteopathic care of children with autistic spectrum disorders. I also hold a Bachelor of Kinesiology from Acadia University and a Massage Therapy Diploma.
My particular areas of interest are sports rehab and optimization, digestive disorders, pediatrics, and working with individuals with special needs. I have had the pleasure of working with professional athletes. I have also worked with individuals with special needs in many capacities and specialised in movement therapy for children with disabilities during my Bachelor’s Degree at Acadia. I have experience working with individuals presenting with: traumatic injuries (i.e. motor vehicle accident, sporting, & workplace injuries), low back pain, anxiety, migraines/headaches, digestive complaints/IBS, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, & many more complaints.
Let's work together to optimize your health and athletic performance.
In my personal life I am committed to creating a healthy, vibrant community and advocating for individuals with special needs. In my spare time I love being outdoors: canoeing, hiking and enjoying all the beauty that Nova Scotia has to offer.
